The owner of this property was recommended to us by one of our existing clients. We reformed his traditional circular 1980s villa using a mix of traditional and modern materials throughout, giving it an exciting contemporary twist.
We began by stripped back the villa to its bare skeleton and installing a steel beam framework forming the new kitchen and living area. It had complete new domestic plumbing, electrical installation, air conditioning, Kommerling wood grain UPVC windows and doors with Beck & Heun shutter system. We installed new bathroom suites, one of our own fitted kitchens, contemporary glass balustrade, new Saloni floor tiles throughout and plastered using British Gypsum multi finish smooth plaster.
To the exterior of the property we used locally sourced natural Tosca stone around the new Kommerling woodgrain windows and doors, then finished the walls in a smooth two coat water proof render.
The swimming pool was completely reformed and had a new built in solar slat cover with a digital heating system installed.
The original terrace was enlarged and tiled using beautiful natural handmade terracotta tiles and had a minimal brick slot drainage system installed around the swimming pool. We added some bespoke planting areas using reclaimed railway sleepers and constructed a new wooden pergola using laminated beams and a willow, polycarbonate roof.
At the front of the villa we removed the old crazy paving and laid a new anthracite block paved driveway. We constructed a new car port and formed a traditional arch way with a set of hard wood electric gates making a more grand entrance.
